Re-Educating the BodyMindSoul FREE from Racism
The mindbody relationship parallels the masterslave relationship in our dominant culture. This movement, breath, and community based work engages the BodyMindSoul in multiple relationships to restore balance and wholeness which requires the healing of racism. We start from our humanity rather than from our common wound of racism, and this allows us more resource and creativity as we include our wounds in our awareness. We do not confuse our wounds for our identity or minimize our connection to these wounds. Five of the BodyMindSoul relationships we explore in the workshop series are: 1. expressing emotional, energetic, and spiritual information without censoring from the mind; 2. excavating memories while being fully anchored in our presence; 3. using the integration and receptivity of our BodyMindSoul to sensitize us to other people and therefore multiple experiences/realities; 4. consciously shifting energy without avoiding awareness; and 5. creating art to shift consciousness.
